Hi there,
I just bought the I am T-pain application for my 64GB Touch (3rd gen) and whenever I attempt to load the application I get an error message "Failed to initialize audio". There is more to the message, but the application immediately closes before I get a chance to even read what it says. I believe it might say that I have a song playing even though I don't.
I've tried
- Rebooting the device multiple times
- Deleting the application entirely from my device and reinstalling it multiple times.
Any suggestions? I really want to play with this app. )=
You must be running the 3.1.1 OS.
Wait for the next update for IATP, should be available soon. Plugging a mic+headphone combo in before starting IATP up should allow you to start the app up.

You are correct.
I didn't realize that the iPod Touch 3rd gen didn't have a built in microphone port and that you must use a pair of headphones with built in mic. Luckily, anybody who purchases a 3rd gen device (32/64gb) will get a pair of headphones with a built in mic right in the box. Using these headphones allowed me to open up the application and use it.
It's a shame there isn't a way to output to speakers, an application such as this should be enjoyed in a group, and as it stands on the Touch it's become a private experience with headphones. (not your fault!)
Thanks
hey is there a way to upload my recording to twitter? i see the option under share and i follow the steps but nothing happens
you can plug it into any external speakers you just need a two way audio cord.
