I just purchased Ocarina and looked up some beginning songs. Twinkle Twinkle little star didn't have arrows pointing to the right. Most of the others did. I was wondering, what do I do with these arrows? Do I hold the note or point my ipod some way?
I also don't know what these arrows mean. Can someone please help?
I also have no idea what the arrows mean. Somone help???
The arrows can mean whatever you want. Just tell us in your post. I like to use the arrows and dashes to show note duration (how long to play the note). I usually put eighth notes or shorter notes together; I follow something longer than an eighth note to a quarter note with a dash; something longer than a quarter note to a half note with an arrow. A whole note would be two arrows etc.
For example (notes are in brackets):
-- -- -- ---->
-- -->-->
See my post for this song with lyrics here:

Also:
For rests, I usually use a blank space or end the line.
I use arrows-in-the-boxes to signal repeats and blank boxes to signal when the repeat ends.
but i still dont understand wat dey mean by da arrows n da dash lin en da blank box. some1 help me
Just type like you have some semblance of functioning brain. Sorry to rag on you but it drives me crazy and you look like an idiot.
