When I used to play the flute as a child I remember all the saliva that accumulated inside my precious instrument and how often i had to clean it out. Is there a risk of ruining my microphone by blowing so much into it??? Is there a way to clean the microphone?
So long as you don't put your mouth directly on the mic, no more moisture will get in there than when you speak into the mic.

Hmm I would have to disagree as with a microphone you don't blow directly on too it. With this you are blowing on it even if you are a few inches away from your mouth. Moisture is going to build up, I have noticed with mine that my home button starts not working as well. But I may just have a lot of moisture in my breath. I tend to fog up car windows quite quickly.

I think that the problem of fogging up would be to do with ambient humidity and room temperature. If the weather is dry, I would not think you would have much of a problem. Maybe blowing it dry with a very light hairdryer might help stop any moisture build up.

I find it good not to blow at the microphone but to blow past it instead. This prevents that small amount moisture that you might be blowing into it even if you're a few inches away.
