Ocarina cutting off iphone mic

Hi, the problem I am having is that that ocarina is cutting off the mic randomly from anything between 30 seconds - 10 minutes of use. I then have to restart before the mic will work again.

Any ideas? Im using 3GS

Is this a mic plugged into the phone or the phones onboard mic?

I got same problem on my 3GS, and it's onboard mic.

Were headphones plugged in while running the app?

No Headphones used. On board mic, and iPhone 3Gs 3.1 (7C144)

How about an audio cable plugged in?

Try restarting the phone a few times.

The onboard mic just cuts off after a while in blow mode and its annoying to restart the iphone again. The touch mode works though. Is there an update for the app to prevent this from happening?

Same here. Happened multiple times during a ridiculously awesome jam session (ocarina fucking rocks hahaha).

Occurred during these scenarios after 30sec - 10min just like OP (mic cut out):
3GS plugged into speakers
3GS held in hand no cords plugged in

Only solution was to restart the phone, restarting the app did nothing.

Running 16gb black 3GS with 3.1.2

Please come up with a fix soon! This is too awesome of an app! :)

Possibly bad install? Try deleting and reinstalling the app, that may get it working properly. I take it this all just started happening with the recent update?

No external devices connected. 32 Gig 3GS. When the microphone drops out, it's dead for all iPhone apps including phone. Only a device restart restores it. Only the Ocarina app kills it, sometimes quickly, sometimes after several minutes.

I'm experiencing Mic drop-outs as well.

Love the app so kudos to Smule on this one!

Please fix this though as it's keeping me from enjoying one of my favorite iPhone apps.

no need to restart the iphone,
force quit the ocarina will reset mic:
1. Press and hold the Power button on top of the phone for a couple of seconds.
2. The red slider appear.
3.press and hold the Home button until the ocarina quits.
